A number of years ago we started seeing a new gauge in heavy-duty equipment suppliers like Caterpillar, Ford and Case. They were made in the Amish country of Pennsylvania by an American company with a foreign-sounding name. We’ve never regretted becoming a Datcon distributor. Datcon gauges have very high reliability, and they’re on the cutting edge of instruments with new waterproof gauges and Smart Instruments, which feature built-in warning lights.

An economical, full assortment of instruments with easy-to-read white markings on a flat black face, 12V light kits, and a bright, polished stainless steel bezel. Also available in black bezel.
Illuma Deluxe®
These instruments were designed to be highly visible. With crisp, bold white markings on a black face, pyramidal pointers, and black bezels, these gauges are back-lit to provide superior operation, day or night. Many gauges available with Smart Gauge® features. Also available in polished stainless steel bezel.
IllumaSeal®
IllumaSeal instruments provide all the features of the Illuma Deluxe instruments, plus they are designed to be waterproof and fog proof! Many gauges available with Smart Gauge® features.

Smart Instruments®
Smart Instruments from Datcon feature exclusive Surface Mount Technology (SMT), and a bright LED warning light. SMT circuitry means increased resistance to shock and vibration, and increased accuracy by eliminating the need for sender/switch combinations, detection modules, and extra wiring and connectors. The LED warning light alerts the operator to problem conditions in the engine. Combine the two features and you get improved accuracy and reliability, with plug-in replacement simplicity. Truly a Smart Gauge.

Heavy Duty Senders
Full range of fuel, temperature and pressure senders and magnetic sensors for a wide range of applications. Datcon-brand senders feature a Datcon/Stewart Warner electrical "match" (ohms resistance) (240-33.5 ohms) and other matches (10-180 ohms, 0-90 ohms and 78-10 ohms).

For customers who are interested in multiplexing their vehicles, Maxima has introduced data-bus system compatibility to its Datcon-brand product lines to provide maximum flexibility. Types include:

Fully electronic fuel sensor designed to work in hydrocarbon-based liquids features no moving parts. Winner of O.E.M. Off-Highway Engineering’s "OEMmie Award" for one of the best new products of 1997.
The IntelliSensor® LMS requires no additional power to operate as it draws current from the gauge and uses the same signal and ground leads as would a conventional sender.
It fits in a standard SAE 5-hole flange and is available in lengths ranging from 10" to 50".
Options include fuel pick-up and return tubes, auxiliary heating tubes, custom lengths, flange configurations, and signal outputs (e.g. voltage-driven for a data-bus display).

Smart Instruments® provide a variety of ways to monitor critical parameters such as fuel, temperature, pressure and battery levels. Depending on which Smart Instrument® is selected, the system will display a visual alert, trigger an audible warning, or trigger a switch which will initiate a rapid engine shutdown.
Series 2000 provides a visual alert, red or amber LED, which is triggered by high temperature, low pressure, low fuel and low or high voltage based on a predetermined factory-calibrated set point.
Series 2001 provides a visual alert plus an output switch to drive an external audible alarm in addition to its LED alert function.
Series 2002 provides a visual alert, output switch plus engine shutdown. When pressure or temperature levels reach a certain potentially dangerous level the system will trigger a shutdown.
